Women's Road Bike Size Guide

Women are not limited when it comes to choosing a bicycle. Unisex and male bikes can still be comfortable and accommodating, even though they may be designed with the male form in mind. A shorter reach, narrower shoulders, and smaller hands need not be a barrier to a woman riding any kind of bike. Don't limit yourself - let your biking dreams be as big as the open road!

What if I’m in-between frame sizes?

When using size guides, you might find that you fall under two different sizes. What this means is that you’re effectively between sizes, and both the larger and smaller frames would be suitable. .

In that case, the key measurement is 'reach,' which is the horizontal distance between the middle of the head tube and the bottom bracket. A longer reach gives you a more aerodynamic ride, while a shorter reach provides an upright experience. Your reach is also determined by your 'trunk length' or 'sitting height.' If your upper body length is longer than average, we recommend the bigger of the two sizes. If your upper body length is shorter than average, then go for the smaller size. If you are still unsure, feel free to reach out to our customer service team who will be happy to assist.

How are road bikes measured?

The measurement shown is the distance (in cm) from the centre of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube (centre of the top of seat tube). However, some manufacturers measure their bikes slightly differently. Some will measure centre of the BB to the top of the top tube (centre to top) or centre of the BB to the centre of the top tube (centre to centre). And bear in mind that a lot of road bikes have sloping top tubes so the measurements can alter – these are often sized S, M, L and XL.
