At 15.5kg and specced with more torque than ever, it tricks like a down-country bike and pulls like a full-power torque to blast you out of hairpins and easily overcome monster inclines. The extra juice is courtesy of TQ’s new HPR60 motor unit, which boosts torque from 50Nm—as on the previous Lumen 900—to 60Nm of thrust that might make you feel like you’ve got a World Champion’s legs. Typically, that improvement comes at the cost of a heavier system weight, but that’s not the case with the HPR60. It’s the same weight as the outgoing motor drive used on the previous Lumen 900, but 20% stronger.
