The EBC'93 is inspired by the work of artist and sculptor Alexander Calder, who invented kinetic sculpture — Calder Movil. He declared to the world that movement is art. This inspired BMW to turn to Calder to create the first car in the BMW Art Cars range. In 1975, he designed the BMW 3.0 CSL sports car, which played with colour, shape and the illusion of movement. Electra, inspired by Calder's creation, created a cruiser model, the EBC'93 (Electra Bicycle Company 1993). Symbolically, the BMW 3.0 CSL was also numbered 93. The fiery scarlet colour, accentuated by whitewash, echoes the delicate turquoise. Sleek, streamlined, swift and full of power, this bike inspires new achievements.
